YARD STICK - Look at other peoples exhibits especially the winners and try to use them as your yardstick.

YEARBOOK - the B.P.F.S. produce a yearbook which is invaluable to the members. Issued in January, and it contains all the events of the coming year, along with the show schedule, rules and regulations, hints and tips and other articles pertaining to fuchsias.

YELLOW STICKY CARDS - to hang up in the greenhouse to catch the bugs unfortunately catch the "friends" as well as the "foes" ; also the grower at times! It is better to cut them into narrower strips and just push a little way in between the overlap of the glass above the infected plant(s). You need the blue cards if you have a problem with thrips.
